Proof of insurance is required to take delivery of your new vehicle, and certain minimum insurance coverages may be required by the terms of your retail installment or lease contract. For example, if you have a finance or lease contract with Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, the following minimum auto insurance requirements may apply.

Leased vehicles:

Liability insurance with limits of not less than $100,000 per person for bodily injury, $300,000 per accident for bodily injury and $50,000 per accident for property damage

Collision insurance for the actual value of the vehicle and with a deductible not higher than $2,500

Comprehensive fire and theft insurance for the actual value of the vehicle and with a deductible not higher than $2,500

Uninsured motorist coverage as required by law in the state where the vehicle is registered

Service and repair work completed with genuine manufacturer's replacement parts according to the manufacturer's recommendations and any applicable warranty

Bodywork and collision repairs performed by authorized manufacturer collision facilities
Financed vehicles:

Comprehensive fire and theft insurance for the actual value of the vehicle and with a deductible no higher than $500

Collision insurance for the actual value of the vehicle and with a deductible no higher than $500
